Does anyone know (roughly), when the second edition of Advanced R is due to come out in physical form? I was looking to buy a copy, but I've seen there's an in-progress second edition.
Essentially, I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for the second edition, or if I should bite the bullet and just pick up a copy of the first edition now.
No idea on the date, but from my understanding, the main change between both versions is that the 1st one relies a lot on base R while the 2nd one uses tidyverse new tools (like rlang and purrr).
If your objective is learning/coding efficiency, I'd read the 2nd edition online or wait for its publication. If you want to understand more about R, then both are great and in some ways complementary.
