I would like advice on if it could be possible to build something similar like this (maybe less complicated) using R? I think the tool would be pagedown but I haven't tried it yet, so I would appreciate recommendations before trying it.

Could you elaborate on the end product you're having in mind and give a more detailed example maybe. There are many things to consider, for example, will the output be static or dynamic, will the result be mostly data and graphs or more text heavy. Are you preferring high customization but steep learning curve or easy to implement...
