After RStudio update, RStudio fails to launch.

Someone please advise: decided I wanted to update RStudio to the latest to try out the jobs feature.

RStudio never opened up again, just a blank screen. To troubleshoot, I have:

• Uninstalled, reinstalled.
• Above but making sure I deleted all .RData, .R files in my working directory.
• Made sure R and RStudio are in the same folder.
• CTRL + RStudio and tried all rendering combinations.

UPDATE: When I revert to v 1.1 it works again.

Do you have any better luck if you hold down the Ctrl button while RStudio launches, and trying to select a different version of R? What if you select a different rendering engine (e.g. software)?

I tried that with different R combinations and rendering engines and it didn't work.

In the end the solution was to reverse to a previous RStudio version and update again.
