bookdown and Springer

Hi,

I am getting to know the bookdown package, and wanted to know if anyone had used it for authoring a Springer book. In particular, these are a couple of items on Springer's manuscript preparation instructions that I haven't figured out yet:

  • generate an EPS file with embedded fonts for each plot (ideally, with a filename that includes the figure number).
  • generate one .tex file per chapter, rather than a single .tex file.

EDIT:

For the EPS files, it appears that using ggsave with device=cairo_ps allows for this. Note: had to brew install --cask xquartz on MacOS 10.15, otherwise I got a "failed to load cairo DLL" error.
