bookdown cross-reference links pointing below figures

In reports generated using bookdown, the cross-reference hyperlinks pointing toward figures seem to point below the Figures, meaning that when clicking on the hyperlink one ends up having only the caption of the Figure on the screen.

This issue seems to be browser-related. It occurs with both Chrome and Edge, but not with Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer or RStudio viewer. Also note that I use Windows 10 as my OS.

This has been reported to Github and fixed in bookdown 0.23
