[bug] Windows 10, Using 'File -> New Project -> New Directory -> New Project -> Create project as a subdirectory of: Browse...' Causes Rstudio to crash

I just freshly installed Rstudio on a windows 10 laptop. Using 'File -> New Project -> New Directory -> New Project -> Create project as a subdirectory of: Browse...' Causes Rstudio to crash. The doesn't happen immediately after clicking browse. I can use the file explorer to navigate to a folder, but as soon as I click the 'open' button Rstudio crashes. No hang or stall, the program simply closes. I can create a project as long as I don't use the 'Create project as a subdirectory of: Browse..." feature. I updated R, Rstudio, and Rtools all to the newest version and the problem still persists. I even updated all packages. And, I tried deleting and remaking .RData, .Rhistory, and .Rprofile.
