please help me understand why there is no "Build" option here
I have changed the settings in "View" so that "Build" is seen. But it does not appear
packages must be projects; It doesn't seem like you are in an Rstudio project; hence no build options
Sorry did not get you completely... I created as a project as only... Is this what u meant?
You need to be inside an Rstudio project. an Rstudio project is saved on disk as an .Rproj file
You would make an R project by File/New Project ; when you make a new project you have the option for it to be a package.
