Campaign Monitor - Sr. Marketing Analytics Engineer

Hey! I'm hiring for a Sr. Marketing Analytics Engineer on my team, reporting directly to me. Please find the description attached. For brevity, this is a paid, full-time role open to US Remote (we have offices, but it's optional / up to you if you want to come into the office or not if there is one in your area)


What we are looking for:

Campaign Monitor is seeking a Senior Marketing Analytics Engineer to support ongoing digital and traditional marketing initiatives to optimize our customer acquisition strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, managing, and automating marketing data to help drive business planning. As a senior member of the team, you will also take an active role in mentoring junior analysts and engineers to convey best practices, deepen skillsets, and ensure continuous learning and knowledge share.

Responsibilities:

  • Analytics Engineering: Create ad-hoc and operational reports/dashboards (Rmarkdown, Shiny, etc.), including but not limited to business performance, paid marketing performance, lifetime value (LTV), marketing spend (CPA/CPL), operational efficiency, anomaly detections

  • Write and assist others in writing queries and processes (SQL, R, etc.) to develop analyses in response to inquiries from internal customers

  • Develop framework and roadmap covering marketing data collection processes, model development and maintenance, communication to key stakeholders, and internal deliverables

  • Automate, standardize, schedule, and publish key reports and dashboards (Rstudio Connect, LookML, Looker) to support business leaders and other stakeholders with strategic decision-making

  • Access, prepare and analyze data to support internal clients and prepare written analyses and present findings, recommendations, and insights to internal and external clients

  • Identify key trends within large data sets and draw insights and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Analytics function required

  • Proficiency in R programming language (or Python with a desire to transition into R)

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or any other quantitative field of study

  • Experience using SQL to extract data from large scale databases such as AWS Redshift

  • Preferred experience working with Rstudio Connect and/or LookML

  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

  • Ability to translate business questions and needs into technical projects and specifications

  • Ability to clearly translate technical data into an output that internal clients can understand

  • Ability to persuasively present and clearly communicate data and conclusions in an organized manner to a wide variety of audiences, up to and including Executive management
