Can I use fontawesome via it's CDN?

I want to use fontawesome in my charts. I know I can install fontawesome an dus it that way. But Id rather utilise fontawesome via its CDN.

Is this possible? Do I reference it in my R code the same way?

Im trying to build my app so its as close to a webpage as possible. So all my code is called to htmlTemplate("www/index.html"). So Id rather use FontAwesomes CDN (as I would when building a web page) if at all possible.
