Can R Studio connect to a virtual host on a different remote machine?

Hello,
I have a virtual opal host on a remote server. Is it possible to connect to the opal server from my desktop Rstudio?

I tried to ssh(using ssh_connect in rstudio) to the virtual machine and then connect to opal host, but it was not successful.
