Cannot disable vertical align - reformat code

I cannot disable the vertical align option in the global options. After reformatting I get always the vertical aligned code.
I use RStudio Version 1.2.1335 with R 3.6 in Windows 10 64bit.
Reinstalling Rstudio changed nothing. Always vertical aligned code independent from the checkmark.
Any idea what i can do?
