cannot login into Rstudio server in Ubunut 20.04

Hi,

I installed rstudio server in ubuntu server 20.04 LTS . I could not login with linux login credentials.

I checked
/pam.d/other and also checked /etc/pam.d/rstudio

installed java on ubuntu

Rstduio server simply does nothing.

Can anyone please help in this regard?

It's not clear whether you are using RStudio Server (open source) or RStudio Server Pro.

To clarify: authentication with PAM is only available in RStudio Server Pro.

Can you please provide more information, e.g. your the output of rstudio-server status and any relevant information in the system logs.

If you are trying to use RStudio Server Pro, then a good option is to open a support ticket at https://support.rstudio.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I am using RStduio Server (open source) and the following is the status information. I get the login page, it simply wouldn't login.

It doesn't sound like the same issue as this one, but wondering if it might be?

Thank you Mike,

I resolved the problem by re-installing Rstudio server and java.
And also installed Edge instead of internet explorer.

Then all of the sudden i could login.
