Can you please be more specific? What is the actual error message you get?

I was able to download rstudio with no problem. I have a Mac computer. However, my computer will not let me download the latest version of R for whatever reason. As a result, when I go to create anything on r studio it tells me I have to install and updated version of the Knitr package. However, this update always fails and states this:

From your error message it seems you are actually running the latest R version (4.1.1).

Does your Mac have an M1 processor? I ask because it seems you are installing the arm64 version of R and other people using the same setup might be able to help so it is worth noting.
