I would like to learn working with shiny apps and shinydashboard, but I can't get it to work...When I start from a basic ui file, it only generates a white page with "Toggle navigation" on it. When I run the included example files it doesn't work either. The attached image is what I get when I run the included "Hello" example. I tried reinstalling both R and RStudio without any success.

Could you please include your code chunks below as to what you are running? Also what is your sessioninfo::session_info()?

I figured out the problem: there was an accented character ("é") in the folder path where the R packages are stored on my computer. Removing the accented character solved the problem.
