Change the colour of the button when clicked

Hi i am working to change the button of the colour when clicked however i am not able to to achieve that and cant find the reason to so

I have tried shinybs as shown below

shinyBS's bsButton has a toggle param (TRUE/FALSE) to give it the behaviour of changing the shade of the colour when pressed vs when unpressed when toggle is TRUE

if you look at the last approach they haven't used the toggle parameter
