Abstract: Tables don’t have to be dull lists of numbers. If done correctly, they can, in fact, be beautiful & engaging. And in this book, we’re going to learn how to create such tables with R. More precisely, we will learn how to use the {gt} package.

Full Description: Tables don’t have to be dull lists of numbers. If done correctly, they can, in fact, be beautiful & engaging. And in this book, we’re going to learn how to create such tables with R. More precisely, we will learn how to use the {gt} package.

The goal of this book project was to understand the {gt} package and guidelines for good tables. Writing about tables and explaining how to build them was a key part of this goal.

In addition to {gt}, I have used {gtExtras}. Data was provided by {palmerpenguins}, {gapminder}, Wikipedia (for image URLs), TidyTuesday 2022 week 19.
