cursor jumps out of context after editing a variable using ALT CMD SHIFT M

Rstudio RDE has this excellent feature of editing a variable name using ALT CMD SHIFT M and all variables in the same environment will only get affected. But there is one irritating bug that results in a cursor jump. The cursor jumps to a completely unrelated area of the code after you press escape or after you click the mouse on the code (post editing).
Does anybody else also face this? Does any of you know if there is a bug report already open and point me to it please. I could not find anything on searching with ALT CMD SHIFT M,

Any help here will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen this before. Would you by any chance be able to get a screen capture so we have some idea of what behavior you're seeing?
