Debian Bullsseye with RStudio and R User Problems

I have Debian Bullseye installed on my Linux platform and have installed the Debian Repository version of R, 4.0.4. and rstudio-2.22.02.3-49s-amd64.deb. Sudo was used and no changes to the installation directories were made.

After finding that all attempts to install new packages with RStudio failed, I tried installing new packages with the R terminal - same result. I tried installing ggplot2 and failed. This is the first of many errors:

/usr/lib/R/bin/R: line 142: /usr/lib/R/etc/ldpaths: No such file or directory.

I tried attaching the log file, but the message didn't get posted.

I am a total loss here and help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Problem was solved by compiling and installimr R-4.2.0
