Dependency on outdate package

I'm almost done with my first package, but it depends on an outdated library RcppFaddeeva. I'm not sure how to handle this correctly, should I copy the (C++) functions I need from their package in mine and cite them or wait until they have updated?

Also if anyone wants to have a quick look at the library and give feedback: github.

Yes, if the licenses allow that, one option is to copy over the code.
