Difficulty in organizing a plot

Hello! I am a biology student and I try to build a social network for my model animals. technically speaking the network came out great, but when looking at it it looks horrible eastheticly and really "unreadable". I've tried every layout I could find online but none seems to show everything I want. normcoords doesn't seem to do anything although I hope to "strech" the plot. At the end I found out that making the edged directional help a little.

Any suggestions of how can I make a (very) big Social network organized?

Hi, and welcome!

Please see the FAQ: What's a reproducible example (`reprex`) and how do I do one? Using a reprex, complete with representative data will attract quicker and more answers. Also, when applicable, check homework policy.

Networks are hard to visualize, and at some point it's necessary to fall back on plots of sub-graphs and to show the detail separately for each subgraph until the visual complexity is under control.

Take a look at the ggnetwork package, for one approach.
