Hello,
I am trying to download RStudio to my brand new MacBook Pro (operating system: macOS Big Sur v.11.4 with M1 Chip ) but as soon as I download it, I get this error:
I tried the following:
-Download an older version of R: **R 4.1.0 ** binary for macOS 10.13 ( High Sierra ) and higher, Intel 64-bit build
-Download xQuartz
-Download older version of RStudio: RStudio Desktop 1.3.1093
None of this helped. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!
I do not have an ARM mac but have read a bit.
First look at the nightly builds for MacOS R
There is an R-4.1-branch for BigSur for ARM. I think you want the
R-4.1-branch.pkg (2021/07/09, r80614).
I am guessing the RStudio may work, though an older post suggested some
issues...
If you are going to build packages, you might want to look at this:
