downloading Rstudio

Hello, I successfully downloaded Rstudio to my Macbook pro, however when I open it, it gives me the following message "the git command requires the command line developer tools. Would you like to install" when I follow the steps to install, it then gives me an error message saying "can't install the software because it is not currently available from the software update server".

Do you have Xcode installed?

This message may have appeared after RStudio attempted to install Xcode (required for the RStudio IDE to connect to git) but failed.

You can install it manually here ‎Xcode on the Mac App Store

Don't really want the bloat of all the Xcode on a MacBookAir.

It worked. Thank you so much!

Is it possible to bypass this if one does not want to use git with RStudio?
