Empty R file when reopened

I have written and saved a R file and when I reopened again, the contents of the file are not seen and the only data seen dots as shown below:

I have installed the latest R studio 1.2.5013. Tried to close and open in a new window and new session. nothing works.
The file is not empty as the file size is shown as 2.7KB.

Note that this is the last file that i accessed in the project. The rest of all the files in the project are intact and the contents are absolutely fine.

Can you open the file with a different editor? It sounds like the contents of the file were likely corrupted.
