Hi All: I use Ubuntu 16.04 and took the setting of the repository out of my Rprofile.site so that it doesn't interfere with Rstudio settings. I also set the repository in Tools <- Global Options <- Packages to "cran.rstudio.com."
But I'm following a tutorial step by step and, in one step, it asks me to click on Install and Restart. When I do that, I get
Error in contrib.url(repos, type )
trying to use CRAN without setting a mirror
But when I check the setting of my repository it is set to "cran.rstudio.com". So,
somehow the environment where "Install and Restart" is done, does not know about the value of the repository. I looked around on the internet and I do see the same error message but the fix is not clear to me. Thanks for help from anyone.
