I was following the setup instructions on Digital Ocean and working through their example until got to this error:
getSymbols('AAPL', data)
Error in curl::curl_download(cu, tmp, handle = h) :
error setting certificate verify locations:
CAfile: microsoft-r-cacert.pem
CApath: none
I've looked around and saw that some people have problems with a proxy but that isn't the problem here.
