Error Information:

Description of issue - Error shown while launching R studio. Error details: The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this issue.

Attempted steps taken to fix - Rinstalled the program again to fix it but not working.

System Information:

  • RStudio Edition: Desktop
  • RStudio Version: [RStudio 1.2.1335 - Windows 7+ (64-bit)]
  • OS Version: Window 7 professional, 64bit, RAM - 2GB
    R Version: 3.6.0

Most often, this means that your copy of Windows is too old. Have you been installing Windows Updates as they become available?
