Geocoding IP address

I have been using the rgeolocate package for some time and with a great success. It does a simple thing, and it does it well.

Or rather it did it well, for I have noticed a strange behavior lately; it seems that there has been an update in the structure of IP-API.com output that has not been reflected. On a closer inspection it seems that the package has not been updated in 2 years or so.

Do you know whether this package is under active development, and if not can you recommend another tool to geolocate an ip address?

Update: I have raised the issue in rgeolocate GitHub, and was able to work out a solution with a member of the ip-api staff.

A pull request for corrected C++ code is in the works.
