git in rstudio preview

In new rstudio preview the commit window in git panel does not work.

I am facing the same issue. I tried it with the terminal window (which works fine)

git commit -m"Your commit meessage"
git push

Yeah. It was my option too

I read in another post that 1.2.1064 has been released which does not have this problem.

Yikes! That's certainly not expected. We try to keep the preview releases as stable as possible; sorry to hear something like this has snuck in. We plan to publish a new preview release soon; if you're still willing to give it a test drive we hope you'll find it behaves better than the current iteration of the release has.
