It would be extremely helpful if there were a global option to have rstudio output numbers with different formats, such as currency, comma separators for thousands, etc just as in excel, without requiring a formula every time. Judging from the sheer volume of traffic on stack overflow looking for solutions for this problem, as well as an obvious need to present findings to non R users, I am not the only one that would benefit from such an option. Existing solutions are rather cumbersome and inefficient. ( In addition, fancy footwork is required for different applications, such as dataframes and plots.) Any possibility that this will be implemented?
