Help installing rstudio on chromebook

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new student to R and rstudio, and I've been struggling to get rstudio, and other IDEs to work on my chromebook. It's becoming an issue, as my chromebook is the only thing I have access to until 5PM, when I can hop on my wife's mac.

Would someone be willing to instruct me as a total dummy from the absolute beginning, to the end on how to get it to work? I've tried countless tutorials, but haven't got anywhere so far. My version of linux is debian 10, and I've tried downloading the debian file from the rstudio website, moving it into the linux folder on the chromebook, and installing from there, but it doesn't open.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I am at wits end at the moment
