HIGH CPU usage for R

I need your help please concerning the R software on macOS 11.6 (20G165)

Processor: 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

I'm running a code and it is consuming 100% of my CPU. I compared the usage of CPU with the same code on other laptop (less performing) and it turns out that it is only 14%.

I have downloaded R-4.1.1.pkg.

Could you please help me to solve this problem?
