How to analyze Excel data

Hello.

I am trying to analyze data from excel to get charts in RStudio. However, I only know hist(filename$column_name). This only works if numbers are involved.

What I am doing here is a questionnaire. Also, my first time using R. Been watching vids on YouTube but no dice for my situation. Can anyone help, please?
