How to assign the NA values in right index ?

I have scrapped the imdb movie rating but some of the movies did not have any rating so how can i put the NA values in that exact place. Example if the total number of movies is 10 and in middle i.e. 5th movies do not have any rating so that i can put rating[5] <- NA, likewise. Please help me!
