how to deal with categorical moderators in structural equation modelling in R as they cannot be mean centered?

Hi everyone.

I hope this is appropriate to ask here..

I am hoping to perform a moderated mediation analyses in R. I have a continuous predictor, a continuous mediator, and a continuous outcome. My moderator is binary gender (male and female only). All examples of running a moderate mediation are mean-centring the moderator, but in my case, this makes no sense as my moderator is categorical. Does anyone know how I should deal with this in R or is able to link me to a relvant example?
