How to select random grids based on distance

Hi,

I have divided my study area into 2 X 2 km grid. I want to select random grids outside protected area based on distance from protected area. I want apply following criteria for selection of random grids.

  1. 5 random grids within 0-2 km distance
  2. 5 random grids withing 2-4 km distance
  3. 5 random grids above 4 km distance
  4. Grids should be randomly distributed in forested area and agriculture.
    I have shapefile of grid and protected area.

How can I select random grids with these criteria?
