http://cran.case.edu/src/contrib: internet routines cannot be loaded

I am receiving this message every time I tried to upload a pkg. This started to happen after I uploaded the new version of r 4.0.5 and the latest rstudio. "Warning: unable to access index for repository http://cran.case.edu/src/contrib: internet routines cannot be loaded" I have spent an hour with IT person with out success, any idea?

This seems like a connectivity issue, R is not being able to connect to the CRAN repository you have selected, these are some things to try.

  • Choose a different CRAN repository, RStudios repository is a good choice (http://cran.rstudio.com/) or you could choose one that is geographically closer to you.
  • Disable secure download setting.
  • Check if your internet connection has traffic restrictions of some kind, like a firewall, proxy server, etc. This is usually the case when you are at work or school.

Thanks, I have done all what you said before I posted this issue, removing the firewall and changed the repositories and unchecked "use secure download method for HTTP"... but still I am having the same problem. any other ideas?
