Are you using the RStudio IDE (installed on your computer), or something else? Can you share a screenshot of what you see when you go to save?

Ctrl+S or Command+S should do it.

Double check that your cursor is in the script you are hoping to save.

And I second prosoitos. WIth your cursor in the r script you want to save, use the save short-cut.
