IDE Feature Request: vim-surround & other vim-plugins

RStudio's vim mode is great. It'd be even better with functionality from vim-plugins!
The most useful plugin, in my opinion, is Tim Pope's vim-surround.
Vim-surround is already emulated by
VS code and JetBrains' IDEs.

We'd love to have this as well, and it looks like you've already filed an issue at https://github.com/rstudio/rstudio/issues/3342 -- thanks! We'll see what we can do down the road.
