Import Stata data into RStudio on PC WIN 7

Description of issue - Importing Stata data into RStudio v. 1.3.1093 on Win7 PC with R v. 4.0.0

/I click on file to import get error messages below The procedure entry point EXTPTR_PTR could not be located in the dynamic link library R.dll. Click OK and then I get Unable to load shared object 'C:/users/admin/Documents/R/win-library/4.0/Rcpp/libs/x64/Rcpp.dll. Load library failure. File cannot be found. Click OK and nothing happens.

System Information:

  • RStudio Edition: (Desktop or Server) Desktop
  • RStudio Version: 1.3.1093
  • OS Version: WIN 7
  • R Version: 4.0.0 x64
  • sessionInfo(): Never get that far.
