"Install and Restart" in the "Build" panel does not include changes

Error Information:

Description of issue -
I am working in a version controlled project in RStudio. After a series of committing, I clicked "Install and Restart", the package was installed and loaded successfully, but the changes I just made didn't show up in the installed package. Everything remained the old version.
Steps taken so far -

I tried to remove the package from the library first, and then install again, didn't solve the problem.

System Information:

  • RStudio Edition: (Desktop or Server) Server
  • RStudio Version: 1.1.453
  • OS Version: Debian
  • R Version: 3.3.3

If I build the binary package first, and then install it from package archive, then it works. I don't use RStudio on daily basis, not sure if I'm doing anything wrong.
