Installing R error

Hi!
I am brand new to coding, and have been working my way through the DataCamp lessons to learn R.

I am trying to install R on my Mac (OS 11.6.2) but every time I download and then open the R-4.3.1-arm64.pkg package it keeps throwing up an error message saying "R 4.3.1 for macOS (ARM64) can’t be installed on this computer". :frowning:

Any advice what to do?

Hi,
I am not an expert, but my first question would be what sort of Mac do you have? If it is an intel mac, then the package you should be installing is R-4.3.1-x86_64.pkg.
