Intermittently getting sent back to login page after successful login

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help with this.

It seems I am running into the same issue as the following unresolved and closed threads:

Same symptoms, I authenticate successfully but get sent back to login, however trying two or three times I am randomly able to login to the session. I've not found any logs in the usual places to investigate what is going wrong.

I'm using rstudio-server version 1.4.1106 ,which is running on an EC2 instance of Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS and I am accessing it over VPN.
