Invariance via Multiple-Group CFA: Increase of Model Fit after Adding More Restrictions?

Hi,
I used Multiple-Group CFA for testing different types of invariance between groups. However, after I added more equality constraints (weak, strong, strict invariance), the model fit (CFI) increased (not decreased).

Does anyone know how to interpret this?
