My question is the title and whether one is preferred over the other. specifically regarding the type of file that is offered in the drop down menu for importing data set.
In the version of Rstudio that I'm using , import SPSS option generates code using
haven::read_sav, assuming this is not identical to read.spss (from which package?) there may be differences.
