I thought I remembered seeing a demo of an add-in or keyboard shortcut that would load a function's default arguments into the global environment (or perhaps a brand new environment) for ease of debugging in a talk by @jennybryan. However I can't find anything online so maybe I'm just imagining a feature that does not exist.

I still use it myself regularly.
