Is there a way to directly export to .ppt file using the Xaringan package

Hi All,

I am currently creating a presentation using Xaringan but I need to provide it in a .ppt format. My initial thoughts on getting around this problem is exporting the presentation to PDF using DeckTape and converting the PDF to PowerPoint.

I was wondering if there is a way to bypass the exporting and converting the PDF step and exporting the presentation directly to PowerPoint.

As far as I'm aware, the answer is no. But rmarkdown does support Powerpoint (ppt) formats now, which you might try (https://bookdown.org/yihui/rmarkdown/powerpoint-presentation.html). The formatting/customisation options will be more limited thatn the xaringan, though.
