Issue: from a fresh RStudio window, after running simple functions (creating a vector, find the mean of a vector) RStudio will hang, won't run any code and > in console will disappear

-Running on a 2022 MacBook Pro on Ventura 13.1 with R version 4.2.2

-Tried running current R Studio 2022.12.0+353 and an older version (7.0) both generated the same issue

  • Running similar code in the R window (outside of RStudio) will work properly (and running the same code in VSCode will also run properly) which suggests the error is confined to RStudio somehow

  • Same downloaded file will run on other computers
