After upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04, the keyboard number pad on my laptop is no longer working for number inputs, only inside RStudio.

The 4 direction keys are embeded in the key of of 2, 4, 6 and 8. In RStudio, they suddenly became the direction keys rather than number keys when I press them.

Any suggestion or clue?

Can you try the latest daily build of RStudio, and let us know if things work better there?

Sorry for the late reply. I have tried the latest daily built, however, the number pad problem is still there + some other interface issues.

Problem is resolved after reconfiguring the keyboard on my laptop with

sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
