Latent class analysis

Hello, when I use package "polCA" to run "Latent class analysis", I find that even I use the same data, the same code, I will get a different class outcome. For example, sometimes the best class outcome is 6 classes, but sometimes the best class outcome is 10 classes. Does anyone know the reason? Thank you very much.

You're going to want to set a random seed prior to running it, there is randomness involved. Check the help menu for that function, especially the probs.start argument

Thank you very much, I will try it.
