Markdown/TeX snippets in Visual Markdown Editing Mode

Hi there,

just had a first go at Visual Markdown Editing Mode -- looks incredibly powerful! Unfortunately though I realised that my Markdown/TeX snippets no longer seem to be working (nothing happens on Shift+Tab). Is there any way to still use them?
